Thalia Heffernan Finds Love Again with Australian Rugby Star
Irish model Thalia Heffernan has once again found romance, this time with Australian rugby player Angus Scott-Young, following a challenging breakup with her long-term boyfriend, Ryan McShane.
Brisbane-born Angus, who is 27 years old, plays for the Northampton Saints in the Premiership Rugby and is two years younger than Thalia. The pair recently took to social media to share their blossoming relationship with their followers.
In a recent Instagram post, Thalia and Angus appeared happier than ever in a series of affectionate clips. One video showed Thalia playfully diffusing Angus’ hair in the mirror, while another captured the couple sharing a tender kiss on the beach. The couple also showcased their fun side by attempting the iconic Dirty Dancing lift in a pool during a holiday.
Friends and fans of the Dubliner were thrilled to see Thalia in love again and showered the couple with positive comments. One friend excitedly remarked, “WE HAVE GOT A HARD LAUNCH,” to which Thalia responded, “full speed ahead.” Another commented, “What a cute launch!” and a third added, “Love seeing you happy T!”
Thalia’s new relationship comes after she ended her six-year relationship with dancer Ryan McShane last January. The couple first met on the set of Dancing With the Stars back in 2017. Their relationship concluded after Thalia moved to New York for work opportunities, with Ryan confirming the split last summer.
Since their breakup, Ryan has found happiness with Polish beauty Sylwia Matuszewska. Sylwia, who combines beauty with brains, was recently promoted at an engineering company in Co Down. Ryan, 38, expressed his joy to the Sunday World, stating he wanted to “confirm” his new relationship.
Reflecting on her past relationship, Thalia admitted to Goss.ie that the split was difficult, especially as it happened while she was abroad. However, she’s now enjoying life back in Dublin, sharing a home with her best friend Erica Cody and her beloved dogs.
“Breakups are never easy. Doing them across the continent isn’t great, but that’s what I chose to do,” Thalia explained. “My friends all call me the Tasmanian devil because I just live in chaos. But no, it was one of those things. I’m happy to be living with my best friend back in Dublin, in our lovely house with my dogs.”
Thalia’s new romance with Angus Scott-Young has brought joy to her friends and followers, marking a fresh chapter in her life with the promise of love and happiness.
