Update: Storm Darragh and Holyhead Port Closure
Holyhead Port has been closed indefinitely due to extensive damage caused by Storm Darragh, with all sailings cancelled until vital safety inspections can be completed. Travellers are urged to take note of the following:
- Do not travel to Holyhead Port or stop along the A55, as it is both illegal and hazardous.
- Avoid parking in residential areas and ensure no littering occurs.
- For trailer collections, contact the port directly for guidance.
This closure is a coordinated effort between the Port Authority, Stena Line, Irish Ferries, Welsh Government, and Isle of Anglesey County Council to prioritise public safety and reduce disruption.
