Fire Shuts Down Weston Airport: All Flights Cancelled After Overnight Blaze

The fire reportedly began in a room close to the control tower and was quickly brought under control by Dublin Fire Brigade, with support from the Weston Airport Fire Service. Firefighters from nearby stations in Tallaght, Blanchardstown, and Tara Street responded, wearing breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames and ventilate the area using positive pressure fans. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the fire was confined to a small area of the airport.
