Zac Efron speaks out after Pool Accident Hospitalisation

Zac Efron has broken his silence after he had to be taken to hospital following a ‘pool accident’ while traveling Europe.

On Friday (August 2), reports emerged that the Hollywood actor was dragged out of a swimming pool in Ibiza, a Spanish island off mainland Spain, by staff at the villa he was staying in. He was subsequently taken to hospital – where he is believed to have remained overnight before being discharged the following day on Saturday (August 3).

According to reports, the 36-year-old was in the water when, for a reason that has not been disclosed, he became distressed and had to be helped out of the water by two members of staff. His representatives confirmed to TMZ that Efron was involved in what they described as a ‘minor swimming incident’ and was only taken to the hospital as ‘a precautionary measure’.

The ordeal has scared many online, including one person who took to Twitter to share her thoughts.
She posted: “So Zac Efron was hospitalized because he was found in a pool by two people but entertainment tonight said that it was ‘minor’… doesn’t sound minor to me.” Well, according to Efron himself, it was as he has confirmed he has recovered.

The High School Musical star took to Instagram to share his recovery with his adoring fans.
He posted a picture on his Story of himself in nothing but swimming trunks, working out with two large dumbbells while lying on an exercise ball. He captioned it with: “Happy and healthy – thanks for the well wishes.”

The Hollywood actor has been traveling around different parts of Europe in recent weeks and recently attended ‘Prelude To The Olympics’ at Fondation Louis Vuitton on July 25 in Paris, France. As part of his vacation, Efron has been spotted living it large on the Spanish party island, which could be compared to a European version of Cancun, Mexico.

While there he even joined close pal Martin Garrix on stage during his DJ set at Ushuaïa in scenes that could have been taken straight out of his 2015 movie We Are Your Friends. It is not the first time Efron has been hospitalized – back in 2013 he ‘nearly died’ after an accident that saw him suffer a broken jaw.

Efron is believed to have been running through his home in a pair of socks when he slipped and smacked his face on a granite fountain.
