Dublin vs WicklowDublin 2-21 – 0-18 Wicklow

In the Connacht quarter-final, Mayo narrowly edged Sligo thanks to Aidan O’Shea’s commanding presence. O’Shea bagged 1-3 and rallied his side late in the second half. “He’s leaner, more mobile, and you can see he’s absolutely up for it,” said former footballer Dessie Dolan during post-match analysis.

Galway brushed aside New York with a ruthless 3-28 to 0-20 demolition at Gaelic Park. Matthew Tierney scored twice, while Cian Hernon contributed heavily to the scoreboard. Galway haven’t played in New York since 2015, making this result a milestone for their travelling fans.

Ulster action saw Tyrone maintain their stranglehold over Cavan in championship football—now 42 years without a Cavan win against them. Tyrone were clinical in every department, never letting Cavan settle.

Meanwhile in Leinster, Meath dominated Offaly in a high-scoring encounter, while Dublin made a statement of intent with their powerful finish against Wicklow.

Fixtures Preview: April 14–20, 2025

This week, the action heats up further with provincial semi-finals and Round 1 hurling fixtures across all four provinces. Fans will be treated to major showdowns.

The spotlight will be on Kilkenny vs Galway in what is arguably the marquee hurling fixture of the weekend. These two have shared some epic battles in recent years, and this tie will set the tone for the Leinster championship.

Mayo face Leitrim in the Connacht semi-final. Leitrim may be underdogs, but Mayo manager Kevin McStay is taking nothing for granted. “Leitrim are spirited. We’re preparing for a battle, not a stroll,” he said earlier this week.

In Munster, Kerry await either Cork or Limerick while Clare will hope to overcome a determined Tipperary or Waterford.

The Munster SHC ties on Sunday are set to attract massive attention. Clare vs Cork is already a sell-out. Former manager Anthony Daly called for more ticket transparency, stating, “The round robin is great, but fans are being priced out.”

All eyes will also be on Roscommon as they meet either Galway or New York in the Connacht semi-final. The winner could potentially face Mayo in what would be a blockbuster final.

This week’s GAA schedule is stacked. Whether it’s Munster hurling, Connacht football, or clashes in Ulster, fans are in for a high-octane ride. Make sure to follow official GAA fixtures and streaming updates closely—this championship season is already delivering storylines fans won’t forget.
