Ireland Weather Forecast – Friday 30 May 2025
Friday kicks off with lingering patches of mist and drizzle, but by mid-morning, most of the Ireland will feel a brief sense of calm. Sunshine breaks through across many areas, offering a false sense of stability before showers scatter across the island. While it won’t be a washout, it certainly won’t be peaceful. Temperatures edge up to 20°C in the southeast, but don’t get too comfortable—conditions remain unstable under the surface.

Today’s Overview
The country wakes to mist, drizzle, and cloud—but that’s just the start. As the morning lifts, sunnier spells arrive, especially across the east and south. It won’t last forever though. Showers will begin to pop up through the afternoon, mostly light but enough to ruin a walk or a Friday pint outdoors. The west and northwest stay slightly cooler, while the southeast reaches a peak of 20°C under the brightest skies.
There’s no thunder expected, and winds remain moderate at worst. But humidity lingers, and surfaces will stay slick well into the early evening. Outdoor plans might hold up, but only for the brave or lucky.
Tonight’s Forecast
Rain and drizzle will mostly clear by nightfall, giving way to cloud breaks and some mist in lower-lying areas. Temperatures dip gently, remaining mild, particularly in the south and east. Winds ease back to light across most counties, but that still air may invite fog patches in valleys and coastal zones. By dawn, skies will be partly clear, with another pulse of moisture forming offshore—ready to move in on Saturday.
What You Should Know
Don’t treat Friday as a guaranteed dry day. While it’s warmer and less intense than earlier this week, it’s still Ireland. Microclimates across Connacht and Ulster will disrupt the peace, and the odd downpour isn’t out of the question.
Agricultural workers should take advantage of drier afternoon spells, while commuters in the evening may want to keep a jacket at hand. UV levels are moderate but creeping up—sunscreen is not a luxury.
Looking Ahead
Saturday begins calm again but quickly goes downhill. Expect a front pushing up from the southwest bringing steady rainfall by midday. Sunday holds similar instability with breezy, wet weather across most of Ireland.
