Oasis fans across Ireland and the UK are expressing outrage after being forced to pay inflated ticket prices for the band’s 2025 tour. Scheduled to perform at major venues like Croke Park in Dublin and Wembley Stadium in London, what was supposed to be a triumphant reunion has been marred by controversy over the pricing practices employed by Ticketmaster.

Tickets originally priced at around €170 were quickly increased to as much as €400 through Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” model. This model, which adjusts prices based on demand, has come under fire for taking advantage of fans’ desperation to secure tickets. Many fans found themselves in a high-pressure situation, having already queued online for hours, only to be confronted with significantly higher prices at the moment of purchase.

Faced with the fear of missing out (FOMO) and the intense desire to see Oasis live, many fans felt they had no choice but to pay the inflated prices. The frustration is palpable, with fans accusing Ticketmaster of deliberately exploiting their loyalty and enthusiasm.

“This wasn’t a choice,” said one fan. “After waiting for hours in the queue, when you finally see tickets available, you’re not thinking about the price—you’re thinking about not losing your chance. They know this, and they’re using it against us.”

The issue is not just confined to Ireland. Similar experiences were reported by fans across the UK, where dynamic pricing drove ticket costs far beyond their original face value. Many have criticized this practice as a form of modern-day scalping, sanctioned by the very platform that warned against buying from third-party resellers.

A petition has been launched on Change.org calling for the ban of Ticketmaster’s “in-demand” pricing. The petition has already gained significant traction, reflecting widespread dissatisfaction among fans who feel betrayed by the very system designed to facilitate their access to live events.

Questions are also being raised about the band’s role in this situation. Oasis, long celebrated for their connection to the everyday fan, now face criticism over the pricing associated with their tour. Fans are urging the band to speak out and ensure that future ticket sales are handled more fairly.
