Approximately three weeks into their honeymoon, tragedy struck. Both Aleksandra and Dawid were discovered unconscious on a Miami street, stripped of their cash and jewelry. While Dawid regained consciousness, Aleksandra was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations by Miami police suggested that the couple had been victims of a robbery and were possibly drugged.
